Fillers can be used for dings and chips but you never get good lasting results. The common scenario I see is the door is fixed with filler, primed, painted. The finished product will look good at the moment, but six months to a year down the road after that door gets hot/cold/hot/cold repeatedly it becomes noticeable exactly where the filler repairs were done. If the dings aren't too severe, try a high build leveling/surfacing primer. It may take a few thin coats with sanding between but it will produce better, lasting, results. As mentioned on your previous posting, I'd be skeptical on the color matching of the freshly painted door to the 20yr old paint on the rest of the vehicle.
